I was in NYC this week! Here’s a roundup of the delicious restaurants I visited.
Ilili
Lebanese mediterranean food. I discovered this restaurant during a summer internship at an ad agency in the flatiron district because my boss would always want to come for lunch. When I was at Columbia I would celebrate all my special events here. It’s great for big groups or just a date night for two. I love the muhammara dip, duck and chicken shawarmas, and crispy brussel sprouts!
Raku
There are two locations in manhatten, I went to the soho location. The most amazing udon and tempura! The homemade udon is so deliciously chewy and you can add a bunch of toppings like mochi, mushrooms, or more tempura. This was my first time but I’m definitely going back next time I’m in NYC!
Buvette
The sister restaurant to one of my favorite NYC spots, Via Carota. Buvette had a simple menu. Of everything my table ordered, my favorite was the salade de poulet - a butter lettuce salad with chicken, green beans, potatoes, and a mustard vinaigrette. I should try to recreate!
Sadelle’s
New york bagels done right, with toppings served in a tower as if it were high tea. There were many types of smoked fish to choose from but we went with the house salmon, per our waiter’s recommendation. The chive cream cheese was fluffy, the bagels were fresh, and the cobb salad was perfect. I loved the food and the atmosphere, a great place for girlfriends to get lunch!
Carbone
Everything I dreamed it would be. We ordered all the must-have dishes and everything was so delicious. I love really, really good food that’s really, really simple and the spicy rigatoni was just that. The interior is dark and romantic, and the music is classic and upbeat! It’s a five-senses experience from walking in the door to taking your last bite. I can’t wait to go back!
tell me please. at least someone ?

Your videos inspired me to utilize Sunday evenings in a different way than I ever have before. I now view Sunday evenings as a time for rituals and restorative practices - thanks for that!
