Sat June 11
Pink cashew milk
soak 1 cup cashews in water overnight. rinse and blend with 4 cups water, 2 scoops of jam, and a small chunk of beet for color.
Pink chia pudding
mix half a cup of pink cashew milk with two tbsp chia seeds, mix and store overnight.

Strawberry matcha latte
add a scoop of jam to the bottom of a glass, fill with ice, pour in pink cashew milk, then finish with the matcha. eat with chia pudding!
Fresh basil pesto
add all the leaves from a fresh bunch of basil to a food processor along with parmesan cheese, toasted pine nuts, salt, and olive oil. blend until smooth and store in a jar.
Shrimp pesto pasta
peel and devein shrimp. season with salt and pepper and cook through on the stove. boil pasta, mix in pesto and a bit of pasta water. serve with shrimp.

Eggs and toast
Pesto pasta salad
mix leftover pesto pasta with arugula, halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella bites, and flaky salt.
Teriyaki sauce
i used this recipe!
Teriyaki chicken
make purple rice by mixing a spoonful of black rice (kuromai) with white rice. trim and cut chicken thighs into bite size pieces. coat with corn starch and brown both sides in a hot pan. add teriyaki sauce and snap peas, mix until cooked through. serve with rice.

Teriyaki chicken bowl
add leftover teriyaki chicken and rice to a bed of greens. top with kewpie mayo and pickled ginger.
Ricotta fig toast
toast sourdough and top with ricotta and sliced fig. drizzle with honey.
Teriyaki salmon
cook salmon skin side down on a hot pan. flip and add teriyaki sauce, cook through. serve with rice and radish.

Green juice cubes
save all the green tops from your veggies (radishes, beets, carrots, turnips, spinach, etc). add the greens to a blender and fill the rest with water. blend and freeze in ice cube trays.
Teriyaki salmon bowl
mix leftover teriyaki salmon, rice, kewpie mayo, and teriyaki sauce. serve with avocado and kimchi.
Roast chicken
i used this recipe!

Green juice
add 3 green juice cubes with water, half a frozen banana, a bit of ginger, a whole squeezed lemon, and water to a blender. blend and drink!
Raw salad
thinly slice beets, turnips, radish, and cucumber with a mandolin (carefully!). finely chop cilantro and dill and mix with a few scoops of greek yogurt, the juice of two lemons, and salt. pour dressing over veggies and mix together.
Kale chicken salad
use a peeler to slice zucchini into strips. make a quick dressing with finely diced shallot, vinegar, dijon, honey and olive oil. add zucchini strips and leftover shredded chicken to kale and mix everything together with the dressing.

Cream cheese tomato toast
toast sourdough and top with cream cheese, salted sliced tomato, and everything seasoning.

I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions and chopped chilis, and animal style fries!

Orange juice
we picked a bunch of oranges from our tree and used this juicer!
Strawberry rhubarb jam
chop equal parts rhubarb and strawberries into small chunks. add to a large saucepan (about 6-8 cups total) along with two huge spoonfuls of white sugar and one huge spoonful of brown. simmer for as long as you can until glossy and jammy, i did about 3 hours this day!

Father’s day breakfast
cook bacon in the oven at 370 for ~20 mins until crispy. scramble eggs and toast english muffins. serve with butter, homemade jam, donuts… the works!

Strawberries and cottage cheese
chop strawberries and add to a bowl of cottage cheese. top with granola and honey.

Hiyashi chukka
you can buy the package from your local japanese grocery store! boil noodles and add the sauce it comes with. top with thinly sliced egg, cucumber, pickled ginger, and usually ham!

Egg salad sandwich
boil eggs for 8 minutes and chop up. mix with kewpie mayo and a little bit of salt and pepper. spread on fluffy japanese toast and cut diagonally!
Japanese curry
finely chop two bell peppers and two onions. saute onions then add in 2 lbs of ground chicken until browned. drain the fat. add in the bell peppers, saute for a few mins, then add water according to curry box instructions (~5 cups). sprinkle in some japanese curry powder and simmer for 5 mins. add a whole box of curry cubes, a slice of butter, and a few glugs of worcestershire sauce. mix well until thickened. serve with rice and japanese pickles!
