Welcome back to Emily’s Life Plan for the Week, a weekly newsletter where I share my personal notes and recap every little detail from my previous week’s videos (follow me on tiktok, instagram, youtube, and twitter @emilymariko)!
Happy new year!! I spent the holidays in LA with my family and then Matt and I went to Paris for a week. In today’s post I’ll detail everywhere we went in Paris!
You can expect a new email in your inbox every Sunday at 6am PST! Headers link to the corresponding TikTok video, and anything else underlined is also a link. If you’re looking for something in particular, chances are it will be all the way at the bottom in the FAQ section!
Au Pied de Cochon
The first few days in Paris were for my friend’s bachelorette! The night we got in, we had dinner at Au Pied de Cochon and I got to try escargot for the first time! It was… chewy :).
Aki Boulangerie
Aki Boulangerie was by our airbnb so we got some musubis and coffee to-go in the morning. We also visited the Dior museum which was stunning!
Girafe Restaurant
This was the rooftop sister restaurant of Girafe, called La Suite Girafe. It has an amazing terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower, but it was raining so we sat inside!
Biologique Recherche
Biologique Recherche is one of my favorite skincare brands, and its flagship is in Paris. The girls all got facials, so relaxing!
Au Petit Versailles du Marais
A little bakery we stopped by in between appointments. The tuna on baguette was amazing. I wish every baguette tasted like Parisian baguettes!
Mariage Frères
We had to stop by Mariage Frères for tea! I ended up purchasing the Marco Polo and Paris Breakfast Tea. The matcha yuzu marshmallows were delicious!
Carette
The second half of our Paris trip was just me and Matt. We started with Carette, which was super cute and had amazing hot chocolate. We sat outside for the Parisian cafe experience. I love how much whipped cream they give!
Le Gabriel
Le Gabriel, a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, was our favorite meal of the trip. Amazing service, delicious food, and a cozy intimate atmosphere. I loved every second of this 3 hour meal!
Parcelles
We went to Parcelles for lunch and loved it. Another cozy, small restaurant. Felt like a local’s spot versus a more touristy spot like Carette.
Stohrer
The oldest patisserie in Paris! Stohrer had the fluffiest, flakey-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside croissants. They also had eclairs, macarons, and cute chocolates that would make good gifts!
Plaza Athenee
We had New Years brunch at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée. They do a brunch every sunday in the gorgeous breakfast room. Super fun and delicious!
