Hi!! It’s been a year since my last newsletter - I haven’t posted since June 2024 when I had my son Theodore! He’s now 11 months old, I’m planning his first birthday, and I’m back to my usual weekly routines.
Today, I want to share the top products that have carried me through the past 11 months postpartum. If you’re pregnant, my last post in June 2024 was actually a pregnancy roundup, so I feel like writing a baby and postpartum version is fitting for my first post back, and closes the loop!
Instead of by category, I’m going to organize this list chronologically, from newborn until now.
Nuna car seat - the exact one we took him home from the hospital in, and the one he is still using to this day! Comfortable and configurable as they grow.
Stokke crib - we used the mini version until he was about 4 months, and then converted it into a full-size crib. I love the oval shape.
Coterie diapers and wipes - pure luxury for his little butt!
Ubbi diaper pail - a hack is to use a doggy bag for each diaper and then put it in the pail. Works great.
Keekaroo changer - tall sides prevent him from rolling and it’s easy to wipe
My Breast Friend pillow - breastfeeding has a steep learning curve but this pillow made it so much easier. The flat surface makes all the difference and it straps around your body securely. This pillow was attached to me 24/7 for the first few months. (We’re still going strong without any pillow now - hoping to make it to 1 year of breastfeeding!)
Hatch nursing tanks and bras - literally all I wore the first few months. They’re 100% pima cotton. So soft and I’ve washed mine a million times. Love love love.
L’Occitane shea butter cream - my favorite while pregnant and still my favorite postpartum. So thick but absorbs so well.
Solly Baby wraps - Wearing these during the newborn stage was so comfortable, helped him nap, and allowed me to move around hands-free with him still on me.
Baby Brezza - I only used bottles for the first month and then moved to exclusively breastfeeding. But when we were using bottles, we ran this multiple times a day.
Tubby Todd products - We use this brand for all things bath, diaper cream, and lotion. I opt for fragrance-free.
Pehr play mat - loved this quilted mat for tummy time and playtime, before he could roll.
Nutrafol’s Postpartum hair growth supplement - My hairline was thinning around my temples at 4 months postpartum, so I started taking this consistently every day, and now my baby hairs are about 2 inches long and I have less shedding overall. Nutrafol works from the inside out to target 6 root causes of hair thinning and shedding – hormones, lifestyle, metabolism, stress, aging, and nutrition, and 91% of postpartum women see less shedding in 2 months! I take the postpartum version which is OB-GYN developed and breastfeeding-friendly. #nutrafolpartner
The mom chop - On that same note, I cut off my hair into a short bob about 4 months in and never looked back. I LOVE it.
Bugaboo dragonfly stroller - I bought this stroller because the size was in between a travel stroller and their largest model. It’s lightweight and collapses with one hand. We use it every day, multiple times a day.
Artipoppe carrier - when he outgrew the Solly Baby wraps, we started using the Artipoppe. Comfortable and stylish, and made of natural materials. We have two and use them every day!
Woolino sleep sacks - so soft and they wash and dry really well.
Pottery Barn Kids nursing chair - I went 2 months without a glider and I’m not sure how I survived. Once I got this chair, it immediately became my most used piece of furniture. Worth every penny based on how many hours I’ve spent on it. Teddy exclusively contact-napped for his first 7 months and we took every nap rocking on this chair!
Loveevery play gym - The tripod is great to hang toys off of!
House of Noa tumbling mat - great for when they start rolling and crawling.
Stokke high chair - sturdy and safe for all his meals!
Stainless steel plates - dishwasher-safe and plastic free.
And now here we are at 11 months! Teddy is crawling-almost-walking, I’ve graduated from wearing nursing tanks 24/7, and I feel like we actually have some semblance of a schedule again as a family. I can’t wait to post soon and keep you updated on the meals I make for myself and my family, the products and outfits I’m loving, and generally how I organize my week. Talk soon!
I’m really glad your back
